About Me

Hi! My name is Derek Landry and I have been a soccer player for over fourteen years. Since the age of four, soccer has been more than just a sport. It has been my life. Throughout my years of competitive soccer, I have received training that some people may not have the opportunity to get. Within my fourteen years of soccer experience, I have been trained by coaches recognized statewide and even some recognized on a national level. With this knowledge that I have gained over the years, I have put together this blog as a training aid for those looking to better themselves as an individual soccer player. These are training methods that I found helpful in improving my game and I credit these training exercises for much of my personal success in soccer. I believe that if you stick to this training guide, you will see significant improvement in your speed of play, your touch on the ball, your shooting, your mentality towards the game, and even your diet. Many of these exercises can be performed on your own. That being said, I have found it more beneficial to my game if I have others around me that will push me to my limits. These exercises are meant to challenge you both physically and mentally. Those who give into the pain will not see results they had hoped for. However, those who overcome the pain will see significant improvements in not only their soccer game, but in their overall way of life. Like they say, "Pain is just weakness leaving the body."
